Components are frequently fabricated from heat-resistant alloys, such as specific grades of stainless steel or high-nickel alloys, which maintain structural integrity and prevent creep (deformation under stress) at elevated temperatures[18]. The motor and bearings, the most thermally vulnerable components, require specific protection. In some designs, such as Bifurcated Axial ac fans, the motor is placed outside the main air stream within a separate tunnel or sleeve built into the fan casing, allowing the conveyed air to bypass the motor entirely and drastically reducing its operating temperature[18]. For applications where the motor must remain in the airstream, high-efficiency, class H or higher insulation is used for the motor windings, and specialized high-temperature bearing lubricants are employed. Furthermore, the use of special coatings on all internal surfaces helps resist thermal degradation, oxidation, and potentially corrosive gases often associated with high-heat industrial processes, ensuring reliable ventilation and safety in the most demanding thermal conditions.
